In view of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, the Saturday walks will be temporarily suspended. They will resume on Saturday January 6, 2018.
Happy Holidays Everyone!!
The weekly walks by the group are on-going. Participation varies a fair bit, with the poorest attendance last Tuesday (Nov 21) due to the heavy rain. Hopefully when the wet weather tapers off more people will come!
We had an amazing walk this Saturday, October 28. The weather was superb – sunny and dry. There were six of us and we walked for 1.5 hours covering about 5.5 km. Ted led the walk as Carla was busy with the Cameron Halloween Howler event at Cameron Centre.
For the walk on Tuesday October 17, there were 5 participants. The low attendance was probably due to the bad weather (it was raining the whole day before the walk) 🙂
The walk on Saturday October 21 had 3 people 😦 This was somewhat expected as it had been raining heavily the previous day and night.
The forecast for next week is dry and slightly warmer, so hopefully the turnout will be better!!
The Cameron Walking Group group has got off to a great start.
The session on Tuesday October 10 at 5:30pm had about 16-20 people. They walked for about 60 minutes and covered 6-7km.
The Saturday October 14, 10:30am session had 12 people. They also walked for about 60 minutes and covered 4km.
Weekly walks (starting from October 10, 2017) on
Tuesdays 5:30pm and Saturdays 10:30am
Meeting Place: In front of the Squash Courts at Cameron Centre
